Use of Force Policy

Our public commitment to de-escalation, lawful authority, proportionality, and accountability.

Effective October 22, 2026 · Last updated October 22, 2026

Effective October 22, 2026. These policies describe how Royal Shield Security LLC operates its website and services. Signed service agreements and approved post orders control the scope of any assignment. This website, its forms, and ordinary business telephone lines are not emergency services. Call 911 when immediate police, fire, or medical assistance is needed.

Prevention and de-escalation

Royal Shield personnel are trained to rely on professional presence, clear communication, distance, and de-escalation whenever reasonably safe. Protection of life takes priority over protection of property.

Lawful and limited authority

Private security officers do not hold police powers. Any force must be lawful, objectively reasonable under the circumstances, consistent with training, and limited to what is reasonably necessary. Force is never used to punish, intimidate, or retaliate, and it stops when the lawful need ends. A client request cannot authorize unlawful action.

Armed and unarmed assignments

Weapons and defensive equipment are carried only by personnel who meet all licensing, training, and company approval requirements for that assignment. Unarmed assignments do not permit unauthorized weapons.

Care, reporting, and review

After any use of force, personnel request emergency medical and law-enforcement assistance when needed, notify supervision, preserve evidence, and complete a prompt, accurate report. Every incident is reviewed for legal compliance and training needs.
